Dr. Khalil Ghasemi Falavarjani, who was recently selected by Stanford University as one of the top 2% of the scientists in the world, is an ophthalmologist, and retinal diseases and laser fellow as well as the director of the Ophthalmology Department at Iran University of Medical Sciences; hence, his major research work focuses on eye diseases, especially retina.
