Iran University of Medical Sciences
Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) is one of the largest public medical universities in Iran, founded in 1974 in Tehran, located near Milad Tower, which is the sixth-tallest tower in the World. As of 1986, the University conducts all academic activities under the administrative authority of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education.
Today, Iran University of Medical Sciences (IUMS) is a pioneer in providing academic and health care services to approximately 5.2% of the country's population, including professors, researchers, students, staff and the general public. The university aims to promote health care – related goals nationally and internationally, including educational policies and programs, and provide quality service to its community and beyond.
Mission:
The ultimate goal of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office for International Affairs is to foster the education and development of international students and faculty in order to enable them to achieve their academic and professional goals and objectives.
This office provides advice and guidance for admission, customs and immigration, educational and intercultural services on campus. Our international academicians enhance global perspectives and mutual respect through collaborative programs and our staff support an environment conducive to international education and intercultural awareness.
Vision:
The Vice-Chancellor’s Office for International Affairs serves to be the primary resource for international students, visiting faculty and researchers at Iran University of Medical Sciences, and it aims to promote international education and opportunities, as well as diversifying methods of communication with counterparts at home and abroad.

Educating Afghan students in Nursing and Midwifery through the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Corporate Strategy for South-South and Triangular Cooperation

Founding of the Colleges of Medicine, Pharmacy & Dentistry at the International campus of the University

Receiving accreditation by the Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC) and the International Association of Universities (IAU)

Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) to collaborate in education, research and professional practice for health care students with 49 universities from 22 countries
